3 Daily Rituals That Can Save Your Marriage

Life is busy! Work, school, kids, the dog. It can be so difficult to find time for the marriage. What if I told you that if you do these 3 things each day your marriage can improve 10 fold? Would you believe me? Give it a shot and let me know how it goes.

  1. Morning Connection: before heading off to work, connect with your partner. Give them a kiss. A hug. And a smile. If your partner is still sleeping when you leave, kiss them on the forehead and whisper “I love you”.

  2. Express Appreciation: don’t let a day go by where you express appreciation for your partner. The more specific and current you can make that appreciation, the better it will land. What attributes does your partner demonstrate most days? Express to them how that attribute is meaningful to you.

  3. Sleep Together: there is a trend where couples are sleeping in different rooms. Don’t let the snoring, TV glow or comfort of the couch be the reason you are not sleeping together. Go to bed at the same time and sleep in the same bed. If it is a real big issue doing this, compromise. Sleep together on the weekends or alternating nights. Work towards sleeping together every night.
